You might be able to help me.
I've got the same car but a 2016. The difference is mine has a Crank no start problem and have just posted the work I've done so far on this forum. If you have the means I'm looking for:-
1. The voltage at the injectors pins to ground for pin 1 and 2 with the ignition on and again when cranking. 2. The resistance of the injectors themselves. No worries if you cannot help, but I thought it worth a quick message to find out. Cheers. |

Sorry, a bit beyond my expertise - I draw the line at glow plug replacement - so far!

I found this on Haynes online: Injector resistance at 20 °C 200 ± 20 (kohms)
Also worth trying the V40 club - volvov40club.com - quite a lot of technical posts on fuel injectors on there (I use both sites) Cheers, Simon

Hi I have same car same colour just 2018 model. Only issue I have had was I had to take it off road due to epilepsy so only got to use for a month. Then I had issue with bonnet latch as it stuck and had to be cut into and now opens without the front latch part. I also used a battery maintainer as it went flat quite quick. Also the clearing the maintenance due won't go, tried the push the C stalk and turn engine on or push reset then turn engine on but nothing worked. Just posted question on here

Not a great deal.
Not done a great deal to Blue of late.
Couple of washes and found a rust patch on the front passenger side door, almost all the way along it.... bit gutted about that so will have to find a decent body shop to rectify it. Only daft little mod I've done recently is a new "Start/Stop" button in red. Got it off a friend from work who accidentally got 2 sent to him by mistake. Popped the standard button out Not the greatest in-focus picture, but the back of the buttons were exactly the same. Comparison shot All done, before and after Don't actually mind it to be honest.

Great thread and great pictures. Its a lovely car!
I've got my eye on that magnetic phone holder you have. Where did you get the magnetic scrip from that attaches to your phone ? Could you post a pic of it? My phone has a case on it with a button to hold it closed. Will it work with a case?

The magnetic strips come in the box with the holder. I've just stuck a couple to the back of the phone case.

Hi Petey, thanks for your reply...
I have an ordinary cradle holder at the moment, but its a bit bulky and seems to get in the way all the time. Something like yours would be much more suitable. How's the new motor been treating you? I had a look through your V50 thread earlier and had a really nice read and look through the pictures, same in this thread too! If I may ask, instead of bumping the old thread... the D2 engine in your last V50, am I right in thinking that didn't have any eolys fluid and didn't need a dpf replacement at 75k like the 1.6 diesel's did pre-2010? Was the engine in yours a PSA engine?

Took it to a bodyshop and he said it looks like the door had a new skin that wasn't done properly so has let water in and started to rust. £350 +vat for a repair, so it'll be easier to get a replacement door at some point. No issues as yet and done what's in here so far. Oil and filter is due in a few weeks. My V50, yes, no tank and no need to replace the DPF. It was a PSA engine, just fettled a bit more by Volvo. It had injector issues though. Copper washers at the end didn't last long. Probably due to all the hot and cold cycles of the engine. They started with injector rattle, then progressed to leaking slightly and chuffing.

Am I right in thinking all D2's (1.6's and 2 litres) are PSA engines with a bit of Volvo input up until around 2015 ish when they became purely Volvo engines (VEA's)? How are you finding the petrol T2 in comparison to the V50 diesel, fuel consumption wise?
