  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

A12/A14 junction sounds good, dont know the area so you or wayne will have to come up with specifics....

Okay could meet at Tesco's which is at that junction, think they have a garage if not I am sure there is one local to this one, sorry not up to scratch on the local area north of Colchester myself. Maybe meet at 13.30?

phew, colchester is a 160 mile round trip for me.
i was gonna hook up while jod was on his way to kings lynne.
ill have a look at a map.

160 miles!! Blimey thought you might have been more local. Don't worry or go out of your way. I will replace the vac hoses myself this weekend and if that doesn't cure it will probably live with it till I can get it down to Russ @ RT's

id deffo look at your wastegate actuator and the wastegate arm.
if the wastegate actuator is very weak it wouldnt be able to pull the wastegate shut resulting in boost bleed and if the wastegate arm is catching/sticking then it may not be closing,again allowing boost bleed.
its going to be something simple if she boosts sometimes then sometimes not.
get the heat shield off and try and push the wastegate arm (the bit the actuator rod hooks onto)towards the actuator body, give it a wiggle as you push and if it closes abit hey presto youve found the prob.
wont cost you anything other than 20 mins of your time.
worth a try.

Cheers for that will deffo have a fiddle with it at the weekend and keep the thread updated so if there is anyone with similar problems they know what to try
