Breakers trip. Sourced two PA-300 amplifiers, four high end speakers - front doors and rear deck ones, and pulled a HU-803 unit.

I only installed the HU-803 unit along with the amplifier. Bam!! what a sound, even with my original paper speakers. In fact, it's the Pro Logic setting that is worth the upgrade. However, for some reason most sound comes from front speakers, the rear ones sound very muted. This only happens when the radio is in Pro Logic mode. I will install the high end speakers, it probably has something to do with the impedance.

Side note, the radio controls on the steering wheel do work, which is the first time I see this. The donor car was a 2004 while mine is a 2003 that came originally with a HU-603 head unit.

new shiny wheel bolts and Alarm battery arrived today,
just waiting for the new center caps for the new (to me Alloys)
and a break in this horrid cold and rain, to get them all fitted.

fingers crossed the "Alarm service" message and service warning light with stop showing up with new battery. and the DTC's clear.

Default Dark nights...bright lights!

My goodness do I wish I had fingers like ET....changed the H7's for nightbreakers today. Drivers side not too bad.....passenger side I somehow got the bulb wedged at an angle......after much frustration got it back out and fitted properly but what an arse of a job. New led sidelights too so much better all round.

More bulb renewal. All rear cluster lights replaced for the grand sum of £9 using GE original spec bulbs from Halfords. Without the trade card it would have cost £30.42!

New drivers side mirror heated glass arrived today. Fiddly enough to fit, but it's on and appears to be working.
