Are we looking at the same picture, or do you work for Volvo marketing y2blade?

One small pic, and not much detail .... tbh, I'm never a fan of "bling" models but I'm finding it hard to see what the excitement is about from the evidence presented.

Maybe it's been updated since the page appeared but there are 14 pics now.

I'm not a fan of the fancy 'all mouth, no trousers' trim lines (S-line, M Sport, AMG, R-Design) that proliferate nowadays but even I think that R-Design pack looks pretty inoffensive.

The big issue I would have is with those two vast cans sticking out beneath the rear bumper, one of which presumably is fake. It's a 2.0 litre 4 cyl petrol, FFS, it only needs one exhaust pipe and even that could be hidden.

My dealer sent me the spec and price list.
Although the base model has some very fine features, the ones you'd really like to have and which are touted as the most appealing, are pricy add-ons.

I haven't poured over it in detail yet, but I suspect for a spec comparable to my Exec it will be in the mid £50K range, an additional £10K over my current model.

I wonder if DtD will pick it up sometime next year?

Which (in my opinion anyway) makes it fine value in comparison to its direct competition

From my point of view the features I would really like are:

More space
Even more comfortable seats
Better ride
Better steering
Better fuel economy & longer range from a full tank
Less noise in the interior
Better sat nav
Less DPF-clogging stress

I think all of these are likely to be delivered by the cheapest 2WD D4 model. Isn't real luxury delivered through space, quietness, comfort and lack of stress? All the stuff about glass gear levers, even bigger wheels, even more amazing hi fi and internet access does not offer great incremental value in a car.

I'm not holding out for worthwhile discounts for a year or two after launch...

Agreed re discounts - I've read somewhere that Volvo are going to do all they can to control discounts and support residuals. You only have to look at Range Rover and their Sport to see what is achievable. RR as a brand have a head start I guess, but I'm hoping that the XC90 will make a massive difference to the way the average punter views Volvo vs the competition from RR, BMW, Audi etc.

That's my hope, and having ordered a First Edition, I have vested interest in it being realised. Time will tell.

Hi,
Newbie to forum and brand here. If anyone has the new XC90 Spec and price list, could you post it please?
Thanks

Tech spec can be found at this web site:

I haven't seen any UK price list yet.
