Great! I loved mine. Get it right . Keep it right. Many years of service should come from a good motor like that!

Great stuff, congrats on your purchase
The lumbar control parts are a common failure point, I've probably got a few spare bits for them but I think repair kits are available new still |

Thanks will enquire at Volvo re the lumber repair kits
It had a good clean the other day, next job is an oil and filters change and will check when the cam belt was changed. There is a huge amount of history, always Volvo serviced. Air con works, but saps a fair bit of power from the engine. The car drives great, cold start very good, but a bit lumpy on idle after it has warmed up. Will see what futher investigation can find |

I checked the history and the only mention of a cam belt change was in 2009 at 126k by Volvo. Shows the belt in the parts list as there was a service (160K service), but no mention of replacement pulleys/tensioner or water pump. So am trying to source a kit or items to make up a kit. Any recommendations on sourcing the items would be welcomed
Any tips I should know when changing the belt ??I heard the crankshaft pulley has a hefty torque setting As an aside .......it was mentioned as an advisory several times on the mots, regarding a corroded jacking point. Having looked at all four, they are all in first rate condition. Seems to me if there was any such issue, the jacking points have been completely replaced and to a very high standard. So much so, it is difficult to tell if they have been replaced, they are that good ;-) |

I believe the cambelt is easier to DIY if you have some special tools.
I've got the tools, not used them yet though |
