Had a bit of a rethink on the dash. Striped the old mods out and started again
Heres what it looks like now
rolled some tubes to mount some wolsey clocks in

They are kind of frenched onto the panel

Also cut and reshaped the dash ends to fit better with the door tops

Then welded up the old clock opening and smoothed out

The bottom piece has now been welded to the top half and primed up

Progress is due to recommence on the slamazon this weekend. I will keep you posted, Matt

The name slamazon has been used before.

I remembered the name from street machine years ago.

You are doing a great job there, are you going to have to enter it for a BIVA inspection?
I say that because some recent articles on the ACE /NSRA sites link to the DVLA 8 point rule.
This means substantial mods (roof chops and bulkhead cutting certainly come into it) might be a problem if you want to keep the cars tax exempt status.
As I understand it.
Please don't let this put you off, the car looks great, and a V8 can only be a good thing-
ready for this year's" Picnic in the Forest?"
Have fun, Regards, James.

Well thanks for the kind words chaps.

Pint, the wheels are american racing torque thrust 2s. 8x17 with a 4" backspace. They dont leave a lot of room at the back for tyre clearance.

Heres a few pics of some custom rear lights I have fabricated.

Bought some caddy rear lights and used some off cut off 3" exhaust to french them into. welded together then made the outside shape.

welded to car

All filled and smoothed out. Even managed to throw some primer at it.

Aim is to try to get it all in primer this month. Got a lot of wiring to sort out as the doors all have a solenoid to open them. The boot is going to be opened by a hydraulic ram from a golf convertible hood. May do the same to the bonnet. I dont think it will be out this year. Still needs lots of work and some air suspension + interiour + lots of bits. The list is endless, but good thing come to those that wait. Cheers Matt

This is going to be very interesting when completed.

We do need some updates.
