That's good news, not that I'm at all surprised.

Just to add when you pick the car up from repair shop.
Only pick it up in day light, take a cloth with you to dry the car off if its wet-raining. Have a good look at the plastic clips very good chance they will be broken or missing,I used to work at bodyshop and this happened all the time. Don't do the paperwork until you have had a very good look at the job. |

I have never known a repair centre to drain a fuel tank unless working very close to it, firstly it is costly to do if done using the proper kit and they need an eviro licence, a sepertae drain down area and a bunded tank or area to store the fuel away from the workshops, it is a lot safer to leave the fuel in the tank then to drain it.

Now it did only do about nine to the gallon and the V8 burble was/is infectious, but even so the were heated discussions when I got it back with half a tank of fuel!

Holy Sh*t you are one lucky driver - I wonder if winter tyres would have prevented the car sliding into you!!!!!!!!!

Just had a call from the repair garage, expected completion will be 10th January.
A lot of the plastic parts and clips are being ordered direct from Volvo and possibly won't be here before the Christmas break. Hopefully I can take comfort that this means all the clips and trim parts will be there on return... Lol Oh will have to try and enjoy my Toyota Avensis a little longer... Paul |

big bug bear with loan cars, is that you can't let anyone else borrow them, I run a 206 for FIL as a thanks for helping me build house (and he runs the kids around etc), but car gets borrowed by all sorts of people, if their car is off road, and need transport. When it was hit, if insurance gave a loan car, only FIL could drive car, even though 3rd party were 100% responsible for accident
