I refer to my 50 year ownership of Volvos as the Volvo virus - there is no known cure. I suggest the Land-Rover photo should be framed and hung on Steve's garage wall. Then no matter what Margo throws at you, you only need to glance at the photo to realise things could be worse - much worse.

I had them at the same time, the white one I put a 200tdi, high diffs and overdrive…….. rocket-ship ; the 2a was treated to a galvanised chassis and stainless everything.
The 2a was bought by a chap from Skye, drove it home without hitch. I picked him up from East Midlands Airport.

Do have a strange liking for early ones, perhaps get one for er indoors to run one as a daily?? as she runs around in a RAV4 and needs good ground clearance for floods and 4WD, she only does circa 7k pa.

Will have to wait till workshop and Margo’s sorted, but could be a nice project to come.

Trouble is now I have the brother in laws barn cleared there is storage for around 4 other cars, so the temptation to acquire others and have a sort of monthly swap over depending on mood weather etc…..

This is where it could get very dicey, 4 cars off site, 10 mins away, with new workshop I’ll also have 2 spaces under cover and space for 2 more on the drive??? Eek…😀😀
