Changed brake pads and discs all around - I believe the rears were original, 160k miles, 2003 :O

Fitted hardware for cruise control on 1.9D, and have been rewarded by the little "CRUISE" indicator on the trip computer... Now need to take a trip to the dealers for a software update :-(

I will put some photos and part numbers up for installation once I get it working, they might be of use to other members.

I was actually meant to ask you about the parts you used. Another member here (Samwell) is going to do the same as you and I wanted to make sure he gets all the bits needed. Also a very silly question, but have you tried to see if the Cruise works as it is? I doubt it, but you never know.

I noticed that too, but thought it was a trick of the light.

shhhhh dont shout it out!

You are right guys. In the past its had a front end respray to a terrible standard so rather than get the front end resprayed again for a ludicrious about I bought a set of wings and a bonnet in titanium grey then fitted them. They only dont match where the previous respray was feathered into the doors and unfortunately you it does show photos.

In the end its a 9 year old car worth about 18p on a good day so it doesnt bother me. She my daily thats used in all weathers, carries parts all over the country and get driven as a T4 should.

Quite right, mate.

We shall say no more about it. About what? See!

As long as the car runs reliably and is safe to drive, that is the most important thing. Our 1.9D has it's fair share of dings and dongs and scraps and scratches. It does bother me as they are very visible when the car is washed, but you can't see them that well after a few weeks of dirt accumulating on the car......

Alex, sorry for late reply. I'm going to the dealers tomorrow or Thursday, and will write it up once I'm sure it's all working! "Cruise" comes up on dash when the switch is moved to "on" but nothing else happens not a stupid question at all, was the first thing I tried!

I used brake pedal cutout switch 9146505 and indicator stalk 30618230. Plugs for each were right where they were needed, taped up with black tape. I have a spare wiring loom, 30618133, which I'll be listing in For Sale, as well as a plain indicator stalk working 100%.

Thanks for letting me know. Samwell came over to mine yesterday and we fitted the cruise stalk and the 9146505 brake pedal cut out switch. Everything else was already in the car. So he will also be getting quotes from dealers around and find the best price.
