So effectively you have 2 pipes there and you "electronically" switch between one or the other. The solenoid being the switch between MBC and standard.

Or, you could just learn to operate the accelerator......... there is usually a sweet spot between *off* and *on*...... quater to half way down works well for me.

Sigh..... Can't help but wish mine was a RWD... now that really would be fun in the wet!

Yep you're right.
I was driving it like a standard car when that happened last week and you cant do that.
There is a point in the throttle pedals range where it simply acts like an on/off switch for the power.
More judicious use of the 'go' pedal will need to be learnt in certain conditions.

I still like the idea of a power switch or button on the dash wired into the bcs to impress your mates

i used to the system to help traction when racing & used to lock it into low boost if i lent the car
