Theres just motorworld then, thats like the Mcdonalds of vehicle 'care'

Every time ive been in motorworld, Ive had an argument with the staff, and end up screaming like a phycotic murderer and leaving empty handed.
Just because they cant be bothered checking or give you something totally incorrect.
I bought some LED bulbs for my Gluguna and after being assured these will not interfere with my indicators, plumbed them in and nothing.
Tested them on a 12v supply and they worked.

Took them back,
"Nope, cant have them back"
"Why?"
"Bulbs mate, Cant return them"
"You said that they would work"
"I didnt"
"You did, You personally reccomended these!"
"Didnt mate, Cant return bulbs"
"These are not bulbs theyre LEDS, completly different aspect that you fail to understand you muppet!"
anyway, left in a rage, As I paid on the old plastic, I phoned up and reported a dispute, Told them not to honour the transaction. No money taken,
Motorworld recieved their pritsine bulbs back through their letterbox in several thousand pieces.

I would thank you twice for that post if there were two thank you buttons I love how you can do this with credit card purchases. I did this when Littlewoods sent me a broken multigym someone had returned to them and they had repacked it and gave it to me. They spent 6 weeks IIRC stalling on collecting and refunding my money but after the credit card company gave my money back they collected it within days :/

Good old "Hellfrauds"..... popped into Peterborough branch again yesterday (I don't learn do I ?) asked for a 1 metre length of servo vacuum hose (they used to keep it on a roll which you could buy by the metre), this caused distinct consternation, in turn I was offered......
Petrol hose,
Radiator hose,
Heater hose,
Air filter intake hose.......and was even allowed to poke around in their "odds & ends" box.
Never did find any vacuum hose.

And another thing, I wanted a pair of 233 bulbs for the number plate lamps, "sorry, only got them in "laser blue"..........what !!!!!!!

It was the chap who had served me & in the time it had taken me to leave/drive out of the car park he'd phoned another local motorparts store(non Halfords) just down the road who had one in stock & sprinted across the car park/road to tell me.

I was quite impressed on that occasion.

Thats lucky - I avoid that place like the plague. I try to use Elliots or Oscotts if I can borrow a membership card.

Saying 'Thankyou' and 'Your Welcome' well any basic courtesy requires a comprehensive training course these days, even if your behind a counter or just walking down the street.

This course must be heavily booked up at the moment as it seems many many people have yet to attend it.

Also don't forget if you've not done the course and you say thankyou or somthing similar. You could be causing untold problems and even putting yourself or the customer in danger of enjoying the job or the whole shopping experience. lol

Coat the entire disc area of the glass in superglue and stick the disc to the glass. Use a clean wood chisel, paint scraper or stanley knife blade to remove in one year's time

I had to buy a new battery for my 740 last week. The boy at 'Hellfrauds' checked the table and recommended a battery, I forget the code. It happened to be the largest one they had in stock. It only had 540 cranking amps and no measure of the amp hours but instead a "reserve capacity" which worked out to be 30 amp hours.

When I said I wanted a battery with more juice, another boy there claimed that although the battery was rated at 540 cranking amps, it actually would provide 580 amps when installed. I humored him. I then said I needed one with 600 cranking amps and 60 amp hours for all the accessories I had. He then backtracked and said that battery would give up to 600 amps. This boy kept a straight face and expected me to believe him. Well it was Friday afternoon and I did not feel like yelling at him, I just could not believe he thought I would fall for it. He also told me that I absolutely had to get the calcium battery for £91. They don't get commission, this kid was just exercising his BS skills.
