The B200F LH2.4 was marginally down at 110hp 155Nm. You would be hard put to notice the difference between the two. I've never had a big problem with this version of the electronics in my 745 which continued for a good few years in the 940 with various progressional upgrades.

Have sent a email asking about this little shiny thing, asking for reg number, photo 2, the eye jumps to bottom of NSR cill, looks suspiciously rusty compared to the rest of it. Also mentions gearbox service, suppose they just mean oil change??

At the other end of the scale, history not too bad, with preferred auto and a 2.3 rather than my 2.0 turbo. Downside it’s Guildford but only a train away I suppose.

3k for a 940 with nearly 300k on the clock ! The world has gone mad ! That's a £1500 quid car at the absolute max

These people are absolute dreamers !

Well yours must be £10k+ 😀😀 yes the market does seem a bit all over the place, as always, a cars true value is only worth what someone’s prepared to pay for it I suppose.

I wouldn't bother about the old 240. A quick look at the VIN of the 940 shows it to be a '96 B230FT with an AW auto box.

The 940 would take my vote. The 240 is too dear for an unknown punt.🤔

It’ll come for a lot less with that mileage.🤨

I am unsure but I doubt it as at that time these cars at a tad under 2.0 ltrs were very popular company cars being tax economic for the keeper. The 900 was really just a 700 of the era with a couple of cosmetic and name changes.

Yes I think it’s at least worth a email query, as the advert is a bit unclear about the MOT, history check expires 13th March, but advert says local garage due to renew in March, implying that it’s to be sold with full year ticket.

Vendor could MOT it end of next week, propose if it passes, I can train down there, with readies for a test drive.

1000$ question, what’s the consensus on opening bid, I’d probably go with £1750 in view of miles and door cards being the usual mess.

Cheers

Aye, worth an enquiry.

There’s one at Bury St Ed’s.

I'd offer 1k for that mileage. He can only say no. If it looks ok and you have the cash on you he'll bite your arm off.
