A warning for anyone arriving from the South

There is currently road works on the A74 between Jct 44 of the M6 and the A74M Jct Guards Mill at Gretna Gateway.

These road works are monitored by SPECS average speed cameras

Stick to 50 MPH to avoid an invitation to empty your wallet and collect 3 points.

About those cameras - be aware that they run from the first 50MPH sign to the derestriction sign northbound and southbound. I am through them every week. Trying to 'lose' some time in the services does not work as there are cameras before and after the services each way - they are getting mean and nasty there!!

Hi,

I am sure I read some where that if you travelled at 350mph+ the cameras aren't quick enough to catch you...

I suspect that applies to the old "flash-flash" ones though...

They asked that we let them know by Sat. So let locky or me know and we will coordinate it.

I will be phoning the numbers through to the hotel. I will not be phoning through seperate orders thats just daft.

So long as I have an idea of numbers, I'm happy, as this means the hotel can set out the seating.
