Date confirmed for cheshire meet!! 27/9 @ Pennington Flash - Page 5

Guys
I have been in contact with the rangers to remind them of this meet.
Parking is arranged and will be on the grass at the side of the golf course as the weather is currently forecast fine.

I will be there from around 130pm so the gates can be unlocked and access is available. Consequently there should be no parking charge

but will have to check this.

Unfortunately i will now not be attending. I fianlly gave in to pressure from my parents and my sister and this evening i was booked onto tomorrows 2am ferry to the isle of man to go visit her. I hope you all have a good time.

I sent an email to Radio Manchester this morning and the meet was announced on the Jimmy Wag & Eamon O'Neil show at about 10:30.

Hopeful it will attract some locally that were unaware.

Hi Colin,Mark,Mark 2,Gavin,Pookie,Abdul,Chad,Achapski,Dean also George & Pat.

Just returned from the first Meet at Pennington Flash, as this was my first Meet didnt know what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised to see a Big Variety of Volvos there. They managed to reach double figures which I told is a good turn out for a first meet. From 1989 to 08 Reg`s unfortunately didnt get round to making a list of the Different models. Took a few Pics so will find where to post these later. The rain held off which made to all the better. Talk was of another meet before that dreadful expensive time Xmas. Hope this happens.

PS If I have missed anybody of the list my apologies memory isnt what it used to be.

Very soory I couldnt make this meet - something came up and I had to go somewhere and couldnt afford to refill the fuel tank to get there! Bad times eh?!

Hopefully will be able to make the next meet....

Hi Ron and all,

I think a good meet was had by all ( as it cost me hell of a lot to book the flypast by that Vulcan Bomber ).
Mike, how were your Vulcan photos ?

Glad the venue met expectations. The cordoned off part of the golf course turned out to be essential with the main car park being full.

Next time we'll have to post in other Volvo forums too and raise the numbers hopefully.

Good to put some faces to the names too.

My photos need enlightening a little before I post them. IIRC I think there is file size & pixel size limitation on image posts unfortunately.

Are we posting photos to this thread ?

I must say I had a good afternoon and was sorry to have to leave a little early.
I must say it was a good turn out for a first meet with lots of looks from visitors to the Flash

Colin, I do hope you will arrange another meet, it was nice to see so many nice cars!

I had a great time, meeting old and new friends. Unfortunately the Vulcan was too far away to photograph. However it was an excellent meet with a superb venue, and a volvo only parking spot! I would suggest that we go there again, and welcome people from the other forums, now that would be a big meet! But having said that, for a first time meet it had an excellent turn out.
