Would have liked the Wintracs from Camskill at £89 (17" wheels). But they are out of stock. In fact seem out of stock of most things. Do they just put some of these prices on their website to attract hits.

Any thoughts appreciated.
That means the importers are out of stock and are waiting for some to be sent from the factory in Holland. I think I had to wait a few days for them to come in when I ordered mine. Have you asked when they are expected to be back in stock?

I you have 17" wheels you can fit General Discoverer ATR's which are supposed to be pretty good on the XC90. Look nice too. I think this is the size but better check......http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.p...m56b932s2545p0

I didn't propose 235 mm wide tyres on 19" wheels, but referred to the specification of 235s for 17" and 18" wheels. I wrote that 19" and larger wheels could take wider tyres for legitimate engineering reasons. I agree completely with your opinion to not change from the OE size.

Here is the info from the Volvo website:

Quote:
Aluminum rim Vulcanis 8 x 19"

Offset:
49 mm (1.9 in)

Rec. tire size.:
US:
255/50 R19 107 V

(Michelin Latitude Tour HP)

EU:
255/50 R19 103 W

(Pirelli PZero Rosso)

However, I do doubt the need for and value of 19" wheels and low profile tyres on an SUV.
