a Question if i may, note im not questioning the actions of the mod team , just the situation of A person having more than 1 account .

If this person "A" has two accounts ( or more) do you remove 1 or "all" of person "A" accounts?

reasoning behind the Q, the forums ive modded in teh past had the policy where if "A" was found to have more than one account, All went byebye, esp in a situation where they were using there "alter ego" to ,,bascially stir it.

(i dont like the "multi account lot, unless its like "autobrite-Fred/autobrite-tom/autobrite-harry situation, as i belive a person Should have teh balls to stand by what they type/say,, not hide behind an alter-ego)

I think it can go either way, and depends on the circumstances. In this case, the 'original' account is a long-standing member who I think is (generally) considered to be a useful addition to the community. Plus I think he's relatively unlikely to try it again.

id agree with you , in 8/10 cases.
there Are times when "fred" has been about for donkeys, is bloomin helpfull to all, but had a mad fit made a 2nd account to play "devils advocate" on 1 issue.
99.99% of the time "fred" never ever does it again, the lesson is learnt.

its where the voc forum imho shows better sense than the "hard" regs/rules enforced on other forums , sensible application not blanket "hard line".

if his agender was to take the thread elsewhere why did he not post with his original account. sorry it should be accross the board if he is banned with that account then his original should be the same, still the same person irrespective weather he is of long standing

I think the mods have called it right. The poster was soon rumbled by other members, if he thought he was being clever then he has been proven otherwise and his identity will slowly spread - no such thing as a secret.

If they try it again then defiantly name, shame and ban.

I dont know who it was tt82 and that makes it hard to believe other posters.
He may be very usefull,but what would happen to a casual poster?

he has been clever made a mockery of the banning system, this now opens up whereby i can do it and so can someone else.probably a temp ban would suffice but thats my oppinion if the said person had any ba**s he would have been up front from the start.and to be honest members of VOC should be informed of the person involved
