Over the years since buying our "H" 440 GLT new, and a "pre-owned" XC70 and getting another H 440 parts and we have had excellent service from FRF Swansea.
The staff seem to have mostly remained the same, from sales to desk to senior tech. I wonder if that's a reflection of a good employer?

Cool

Sheffield and Meredith, King Street in Leicester. Diagnosed an undiagnosable ABS problem with my 855 T5, and cheap servicing (specialist volvo stamps in book to boot). Very high recommendation.

I would recommend Heritage Motors - Brierley Hill, West Midlands.

The lads their know their stuff and my last service was reasonable at £160

I used to work for a dealer in Isleworth, it has since moved, but is now call tollbar (Twickenham). London dealer.
Still mostly the same crew and I still get a bit of discount.

Koping Volvo, Naas Road. Find them very good for parts and very efficient. I have to say the total opposite about Tom Canavan on the East Wall, very expensive for parts and servicing and they change components on the car that aren't even worn without confirmation. I once even got a pre NCT service from them and they fitted a brake lamp bulb into the indicator socket which caused an NCT failure. I've also used Spirit Motor Group in the Sandyford Industrial estate, I must say I was quite impressed by them too, the guy in the parts department really knows his stuff and couldn't have been any more helpful.

Genuine Volvo....Kasners of Exeter. They publish prices on the web and I gotta say they were outstanding in service when I took a friends V70 in for him. Nothing was too much trouble. He's been with them years and they have certainly looked after his Volvo's.

Independant.....Sibley's & Son, Town Hall Garage, Bovey Tracey. I bought my V70 from them and they were very good. Nothing too much trouble, all newbie silly questions patiently answered....and...aftersales follow up! Ask for Roger....he's the "Son", as Dad is now retired. Lovely old world village garage that can deal with anything from a model T to an XC90.

Rybrook in Chester were a pleasure to deal with when I bought my year old S60, but I think their service costs may be high.

My local dealer; John Darke of Lincoln seem good. Not used them for servicing yet but they were most helpful, and welcoming, when I went in to ask a couple of simple/newbie questions and they sold me a litre of 0W-30 A5/B5 oil for not much money, (yeah, I know it's cheaper on t'interweb thingy).

I live in hope.
