The speakers are one of the relatively few things we're keeping. Having said that, I do have two spares, so if you're not in a desperate hurry, keep in touch, as I doubt we'll need the lot for what we have planned...

cheers

James

Robbert - any news on whether or not you want the seats, etc?

Likewise, Roger - any joy with that interior code?

Andy - I'll have another look for the green relay.

cheers

James

Hi James,

what's the difference between GT spec front wishbones, and regular C/S70 and 850 ones?

Firstly (as far as I'm aware) all C70s, all diesels, all Rs, and some T5s (that appears to be more random...) had the 'four bolt' wishbones, rather than the 'two bolt' ones.

Secondly, specifically related to C70 GTs (or C70s, at least), I believe they have thicker rubber stops than the normal ones, to match the thicker rack stops...to avoid scrubbing of the wider (7.5" or 8" vs 7") wheels. It might be that C70s just had one wishbone spec (i.e. it's not GT-specific), but they're certainly not the same as the ones on my V70R...the rubber stops are much thicker.

cheers

James

I see,

Thanks James, That illuminated it somewhat

Sounds like there's no chance of retro fitting, I guess as the pick-up points won't be there; pity though, I imagine they are more rigid - and the thicker stops can't be a bad thing either.

Cheers,

T

You can retro-fit them, but you'll need to swap the subframe, too.

cheers

James

Is the passanger seat in good nick? and are they easy to remove and replace?

Where can I find the interior colour code on my car?

Cheers

It's in very good condition, but the 'tilt' mechanism is bust. I believe the cable needs replacing. We just set memory position 3 to as far forward (and tilted as far forward) as we could! The interior trim code is on the VIN plate...I believe it's a four digit number (maybe with a suffix), right below the paint code, which is a three digit number. Paint is xxx-x, and I think interior is xxxx-x...but it's a bit hazy. Pretty sure it's the one below the paint code, anyway.

We can remove it tonight if you want it, but I fully understand if you don't. The car is going first thing tomorrow, so we'd need to know by the close of play today. I imagine it's just four bolts plus electrical connectors to remove it...

Oh...and the steering wheel isn't in great condition, on reflection. It's worn through to black where you'd put your right hand. We can remove it if you want, but I suspect it's not in good enough condition.

cheers

James

Ah ha!!

Thanks again, mate.

New subframe is in the plans when the new motor is being built up - about 2020 at this rate!!

Cheers,

T
