The other is in excellent working order with some service history to it, it has had very recent PCV replacement as well as new timing belt kit fitted. I will have to check the mileage but believe it is about 160k
Shame to hear you're breaking the old faithful, 440-turbo, hope it served you well!

Nothing permanent has been removed yet and I am still not 100% sure

It currently needs 2 Nivomats, full length brake hose, flexi brake hose, clutch, tax and mot

One of the jacking points has also rusted right through so may need welding

We got 3 family holidays out of it and we did a lot of "firsts" in it as a family

Griffin is almost 2 now and is absolutely obsessed with cars, he still likes to dunk his biscuits in my tea too!

Well, I know you won;t take the decision lightly - I certainly didn't, however it gets to a point when the costs outweigh, sounds like it still needs some work though.

Ahh bless the little tinker - I take it he's at the speaking stage by now?

Back to thread (!), hope whatever decision you make with it, it treats you well!

I have spent quite a bit on maintenance already

I then bought another XC as a spares car for it as it would provide most the parts I need to get it through the MOT. Once the jack went through the floor when jacking it up to do the brake line I thought it was perhaps best to call it a day.

Looking at getting a Frontera to replace it!

What is your non volvo car? I followed your V40 progress but didn't see what you replaced it with

i have 2 transfer boxes

1 i know is good as it is from the silver car which i drove for about a year

the other is off the black car which had the prop removed, the prop is completely knackered so hope that is why it was removed. not because the transfer box is knackered.

however, i think there are two types of transfer box now with two different sizes for the output shaft mating face to the propshaft

can you measure the outside diameter of your output shaft mating face and I can check if I have a good one the same

price would be £175 delivered in uk

Im after a headlamp adjustment motor for the passenger side headlight.

Recently replaced the headlight with a new one and the bl**dy garage threw the old one out with the headlight.

Hi there...

Few bits I'm interested in/need if you could be so kind:

Seats - front and rear, either full or half leather and I'd be willing to donate my old cloth seats if you needed to keep some degree of use from the cars.

Stereo - again, either if you have the code but not if they have a seperate 6 disc changer. Mine has some horrid aftermarket JVC effort fitted.

Rubber mats - yes, I know it's pikey but I'm struggling to find a decent set and refuse to pay dealer prices as that'll double my cars value!

That's it for now but there will no doubt be other little things that I've forgotten. I'd also be willing to drive up and remove/collect/swap said items as I'm just down in Fife.

Thanks in advance

Dave
