Vendor's punting it arbitrarily high (why not £20k or £40k?) well in the expectation of not achieving it - but it sets the expectation of value.
How do you value this? Rule no.1 of classic cars is originality., so this loses on the motor for starters. As a restomod I'm sure it goes like stink, and it's been tastefully done, so better a sorted restomod than an original that doesn't work. However the sum of the parts doesn't add up to £30k by a large margin... Original 262c in this condition perhaps £10-15k on a very good day. Can't see how dropping in a 940 turbo would increase that. |
