UK reg LHD car.

Engine is a turbo redblock replacement.
Seller is having a laugh.
Judging by the lights, it’s an American motor and grossly optimistically priced!

Vendor's punting it arbitrarily high (why not £20k or £40k?) well in the expectation of not achieving it - but it sets the expectation of value.

How do you value this?
Rule no.1 of classic cars is originality., so this loses on the motor for starters. As a restomod I'm sure it goes like stink, and it's been tastefully done, so better a sorted restomod than an original that doesn't work. However the sum of the parts doesn't add up to £30k by a large margin...

Original 262c in this condition perhaps £10-15k on a very good day.
Can't see how dropping in a 940 turbo would increase that.

Oh, I don't know.
If he threw in the high heeled boots and the leather jacket, it might be worth a punt!

I must say the 260's do nothing for me, that one looks really nice though the polaris wheels help a lot. Best thing to do with one of these would be to bin the awful PRV engine.

Replace the original PRV with the Volvo-reworked B280E, vastly different engine!

Alternatively, source a complete V8 (not 3/4 made by dissecting the original PRV V8) from something newer like a Lexus or even the (now ageing but right time-wise) Rover V8 and make it the car it should have been originally.

Not bad when you think what else £4k will buy, may come for a bit less!😁🤔
