I had the Wolseley version for a while (the smaller one) and must admit although it looked good it was a horrible drive. I still have a clock for the dashboard somewhere amongst my bits and pieces.

I have been and am very interested in the replies. Thank you everyone.
For the moment, I'm slowly dealing with my 200 SE's failed head gasket ..... and comparing vehicle prices, I think my much liked by me Volvo will continue to be my car. |

The 404 is an excellent car, leagues ahead of a Farina. Unlike the Farinas the diesels were decent too. I dearly want a 504 estate diesel- unfortunately theyre nigh on extinct. Might have to do a 145/245 diesel conversion!
The VDP 4litre is one of my favourite barges but worse fuel consumption than a 164. Finding a low cost, tax free everyday load lugger is fast becoming a difficult mission.

I agree.
(But of course the 404 could also be nicknamed a "Farina", being designed by him) 145 on LPG? |
