Hi all! I just bought a MaxiEST EST201 with it does not have software to communicate with my Volvo V70 2009 :-(. Seller can not, or is unwilling to, provide the files needed to update the device. Is there anyone here who can help me?

Just buy some volvo rear pads and the leaflet inside should explain how to change them!

Have recently bought the Seeley EPB tool from Folkestone Fixings on ebay - good tool and as I plan on keeping the car I figured worth it. Tool dead easy to use and the ebay dealer was quick/reliable

Mine aren't due for replacement yet, but I did some preventive maintenance the other day.
Took the rear brakes apart to check the design. At least on my XC70 2012, no fancy electronic reset tool is required. If you do the work of removing the calipers, then remove the parking brake motors (two Torx T30 screws), then you can see the coupling where the motor drives the "mechanical piston" behind the hydraulic piston. In the center of this mechanical part, there's a socket for an XZN 8 bit. Insert and rotate clockwise until it stops. Now the parking brake is retracted.
Put the electric motor back on and then re-mount the caliper. I just needed to engage the parking brake once, and then it was re-calibrated again.

I don't know - I haven't bought any yet. My car is too new for that, and the previous were too old to have anything but mechanical parking brakes.

hello lukas430000.

I just purchased the maxiest epb service tool and it does not have the v1.08 software on it. I came across your old post and noticed you used to have a copy. If you can be so kind to send me the software if you still have it would be greatly appreciated.

I made the mistake of taking everything apart and now i cant use the tool i bought to put it back together.

Thank you for taking your time to read this message.

i tried private messaging you but i am too new to the forum at the moment.

thanks again!

Reccomend usung genuine Volvo pads, they are generally better, and you get the proper kit of stretch bolts etc.

Hi Lukas430000, I had downloaded an update for the wrong tool and messed up my tool. Autel couldn't seem to find anything to send me. Could you send me the 1.08v? Not sure if that's a .dag or .aut file.
Much appreciated
Doug
