  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Personally I think this is a wind up and because of the good nature of this forum people are quick to offer help even if it sounds baffling, yet first time poster called "GlasgowChauffeur" and apparently had this issue for over 100,000 miles. Sorry I don't believe it either.

I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt. If he came here genuinely looking for friendly advice he doesn't deserve insults. That's just not right.

GM saabs had a non issue where in order to read the dip stick, you'd have to take it out, clean it (normal), reinsert it (normal), then twist it whilst pushing down on it against a stop, then remove and read.

they had EPIC problems with folk over filling the engine to the tune of between 0.7 and 1.0 litre over the maximum indicated because people weren't reading the manual that stated the correct procedure.

Volvo dipsticks aren't like that, but still, one mans yard is another mans metre
