I agree and my last Volvo came with a 5 year deal and a 6 year (effectively 3 year) extended warranty. Unfortunately my present car was pre registered and therefore didn't qualify.

I therefore decided to go back to my roots and get the car serviced in Hampshire as I used to do when I have lived there. Leisure drive down M3 and A33 early in the morning is a plus!

Yep, I'm seriously considering 'moving out of town' for any servicing etc in the future. Via insurance etc I've identified a good deal for extended warranty with the same company / terms as Volvo, recovery every bit as good etc, etc. Now all I've got to find is a good, independent either the Banbury or South Molton areas.
