Make sure to post some pics when you get her .... and some vids on the tube place

Not many of these cars around ... have you opted for Polestar ?

Mine is due late September, check MyVolvo every other day but it's not in production yet - dealer reckons it will hit production on the 2nd, and likely be delivered to them around the 26th.

I've not gone for polestar, being a company/lease car I can't see the point in spending £900, however it is a chunk more bhp. The engine only mpg is whats important to me though, I won't charging much at home intitially so I can see how it effectively changes MPG.

Default any news?

So Frankychops, have you had any movement on it yet? Was it actually delivered (if so where are the pics!)

No further movement on mine yet, due to enter production today.

I'd like to hear too!
I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago, been told by leasing company to expect mid December delivery .. Does that seem a long time or in line with what others have had?
Went for Savile grey, family pack, Titania alloys and an 8m 3-pin charging cable (as it was only £50 and I thought it would be useful if staying away from home)

I was told 12-13 weeks from order, so that would make sense?

No, dealer says 20th, my Volvo changes between 2 or 3 weeks(19-24th). I'm getting excited now Really hoping for 50mpg at 75mph motorway work!

Default Real mpg anywhere?

Am v interested in your experience with this engine. My 'motorway car' is currently a tuned Alfa 159 and that does a real 52mpg+ reliably for thousands of miles at speeds close to the speed limit It also has about 220hp which is somewhat more than it came from the factory with, I probably need a less powerful engine to prevent myself driving like a loon....

Anyway, I like the V60, just drove one on holiday for a couple of weeks and was pleasantly surprised. The real question is can it get anywhere near the performance of the Alfa with regards to burning diesel in the twin engine guise?

Does anyone have the official MPG of just the diesel part of the twin engine in that configuration? I hope not but I suspect with the extra weight over the normal car... it might be a bit thirsty?!

The weight gain won't be enough to make much difference for a motorway car. I'd say about 49 mpg if it was just the D5. However real world figures achieved by people for the twin engine version are a lot higher. More like 67 mpg. Still will sound very nice though. Can't beat the five pot exhaust note for character.

I'm sure the electric side will more than make up for it. There isn't any data on the d5 twin on honestjohn yet as they're only really just about to hit the UK.

I had a drive of the d6, which is 220ish bhp +electric, that did an easy 46mpg over a short 20min drive.
