when going from brake to accelerator, mine (MY06) has a split second delay before it reacts which i assume if the gearbox taking up the power. its always been the same and only feels like it moving with any degree of power after 10 yards.

looks like some of the later ones don't appear to have the same issue in this http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...+delay&page=16 150 comment post. i've found releasing the brake pedal a split second earlier than i would in other cars, so its rolling a bit, then the delay disappears when getting on the accelerator.

Geordieboy5, you'll certainly notice the extra pull out-overtaking power. Have a look on T5D5 on the D5 MTE remap if you need more feedback.

the car is now regularly doing 24.5-25.5mpg i assume due to the milder weather. I've also switched to Shell diesel from Sainsburys.

As the car, and the roads were empty tonight, i managed to do a few 0-60 times. Roads were dry. Car - just me 100kg, full tank of fuel and about 30kg of pushchairs and 3xcar seats. i'm running 19" tyres too at 38psi. ran to 60mph on the speedo (not satnav).

9.8 - level road
9.9 - level road
10.3 - slight uphill incline
9.3 - level road

there may be a slight margin of error - hand to iphone stopwatch. i was almost stationary just creeping forward like you do when in Drive (foot off brake hovering over accelerator) then started the clock when on the accelerator. the first half second or so felt like not much was happening, then it took off, most noticable acceleration kicked in around 35-40 ish.

now to hand the car to the wife.

**another margin of error is i need to check how accurate the speedo is at 60 - will check against road angel next time i'm in the car**

really notice the pick up though, and the way it now accelerates. Alot more confident to overtake on normal A roads.

in hindsight, great power increase, bit disappointed mpg has not improved. but heyho, loving the extra power.
Do you shift "manually" or let the slushtronic do the shifting?

Sorry, just seen this. Manual shifting, pushing the stick about 750rpm before redline so it changes up before the redline is hit. Did a 9.6 today on level road. Only hassle is holding phone, wheel and changing gear :S

Did first major 200 mile run in a long time. MPG on fast-3rd-lane-motorway speed (obviously on a derestricted part of the German network ) was 26mpg. If i'd kept to 70 i''m sure i would have been pleasantly surprised. In my opinion, this remap does appear to have better economy on a long compared to the small mileage/local work its mainly done over the past 6 months. Plus i treated her with Diesel Optimax today, so i'll see what this is like in a week or 2.

i've not personally heard of them. a number of companies which offer the "off the shelf maps" for a particular model sell them for £200-£300. Other firms which offer a more customised map include Rica/MTE/BSR/Polestar but you'd pay £400-£600 for these. Theres a lot more information on Remaping on http://forums.t5d5.org/ about remapping, so well worth a look.

Mine as coped fine with a RICA 205bhp remap for 6 years and 60k miles.... 94k now on the clock and fine... goes like a scorched cat in fact! Just have to flush the transmission oil every 50k or so for best performance...
