Clock
Now why is this placed within the gauges out of sight from the passengers?
I never realised until now how interested my kids were in the time! |

My girlfriend noticed this within minutes of getting the car! I also miss having the date displayed (ex Audi driver)...
Guessing this could be achieved with a firmware change if Volvo so desired...?

Bonnet
I decided to peek under the hood.
There is no way that bonnet is made out of sheet steel (yes, I'm old school). It's so 'flipping' light, it must be fibreglass. Could it be alu? Wonder how well that works as a crumple zone. |

Fuel Consumption Update
Current consumption: 24.8 MPG.
During the week, car is used on very short trips, i.e. 2 miles or less. During the weekend, longer. This is still a vast improvement on my previous car which averaged 19.9 MPG. |

Why I shouldn't complain
So here's what I've figured out so far...
The auto parking brake disengages automatically when you step on the throttle, but does not engage when you switch off the ignition. But then again, Volvo refers to this as power parking brakes, so I shouldn't really complain. The auto wipers have to be manually switched on, but deactivate when the ignition is switched on. But then again, they are only rain sensors, so I shouldn't really complain. |
