If I was after another S40, I'd probably have it...but I fancy a change (possibly a 330D/320D). Good luck man...I hope mines easier to shift come may!

Sorry to suggest it late but just buy a roof box for the luggage and a trailer for the dog!

Oh, and at a paltry £800, I am sorely tempted.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'd be using it to teach The Wife™ to drive, and that I am currently hanging on for dear life to my beloved £1000 savings until I get some tenants for the house, and that I already have a V40, and that I can't really justify another £500 a year insurance, I would snap your hand off and get it insured for weekends only.

By the way, my M reg Golf was bidding at £2.50 until the last hour of the auction, and that went for £350, and that was utterly shagged out. eBay is a minefield but lots of traders scouring for bargains. And if you get less than £800, there's no harm in contacting the winning bidder to tell them that you were so distraught about selling it that you took it for one final 'spin' and you took it literally and wrote the car off on your way home.... mutually cancel the auction and you only lose the listing fee.

Oh, and just in case The Wife™ has a sudden change of heart, or agrees that we could do with "a spare car", where are you so I can bring her for a test drive?

EDIT:
never mind!!!! MK is a bit far away for her...

Yeah, the problem for you is probably the mileage on the body...213k is quite a bit! Have you considered putting the stock steering wheel, wheels and other bits and bobs on, selling it for 500-600 and selling the other bits on their own?
