Some people would, but I would treat them as two separate issues. I think your pricing is very fair, and anyone who disagrees presumably hasn't looked at the prices of these cars lately. There's not that much wrong with it!

A few times I've bought something with someone with a bad attitude (I'm talking about businesses now), and I've come away thinking I'd never go back. It hardly matters if it's just a one-off, though.

Being a little more flexible (re: deposits, etc) might help it sell. Of course it might not...it's hardly the place to get into it, but I've had a "slow" sale of my V70R, so I'm perhaps a little more sympathetic to your "bring cash or **** off" approach than I used to be

I think the main thing is that if you lay down the law, you can expect some sarcastic replies...and it can be counter-productive if your potential buyer isn't straight-talking.

cheers

James

Cool volvo

got one decent reply!!! horray !!

anyway andy, it can sit on my drive all winter as far as im concerned, till the cows come home.

got plenty of space to fit another 4 cars, so sitting on my driveway it will, until a sensible offer comes my way with cash.

i consider a potential buyer to be someone who comes to view the car and has cash to make me an offer.

depending if im in a good modd, or not, they most likely get it cheaper, aslo if im skint and they flash the cash in front of my nose, im more likely to be tempted than people saying this and that about paypal deposits blah blah blah,

there still gonna have to come here to take the car away, so if someone has commmon sense, theyd like me, rather see what they are buying.

since its been standing, the tyre has gone flat, the birds have made a nest inder the bonnet in the air box, and the mice are settling in fine in the seats for the winter.

so there you go, and there the car stays.....till the coo`s come yem !

My view, for what it`s worth in this case and with this car, is it`s a sellers market to be honest.
I despise numpties ringing me up and making `promises` that never transpire.
If I`m interested in something, I`ll speak to the seller but if I`m considering buying something and the price seems fair I`ll visit with the cash in my pocket.
Oh and yes, the notes under the nose stuff works wonders in securing the price you want to pay.
I couldn`t care less if a seller has a bad attitude, the price and availabilty of something rare transcends all those thoughts for me.
Buy the way that car appears to be the same colour as my S70, coral Red metallic? Or as my friends tell me all the friggin time, PINK!

Default hi

dont know the correct name of the colour, but that sounds about right.

am the same here regarding purchasing something off someone, i dont care what their attitude is like, if the price is right and its what i want.

for example, a guy on ebay with 83 percent feedback, spoke to him on the phone and its a genuine bargain, and a genuine bloke with a genuine sale.

so what does it matter about the sellers attitude? hell no, youre not going to live with them for the rest of your life and marry are you? youll only see them for approx 30 minutes of your life then take your bargain home with you leaving them to count the cash you gave them.

id be more concerned about someones attitude only if it was someone i was working with or living with.
simples !!!

Hi LMASON

Loved your previous “turbocharged dog carrier“…did you ever sell it?

This scrapper looks better than that though!!

Why not turn it into a “turbocharged cow carrier”

LMASON, you might not have got the kind of money you were looking for the car, but that right there ^^ is a fair offer.
