That was rather easy! I was expecting some really awkward design just to remove it.
So here it is, my position sensor removed from my brake servo: P1010001.jpg Now here is the ultimate question. How do it get inside the damn thing without breaking it? (If not I'll replace it with a second-hand one)

Just a few photo's on how to remove it:
P1010006.jpg P1010004.jpg P1010003.jpg P1010002.jpg P1010001.jpg I used a flat head screw driver to pry open the metal clip. The first picture shows the clip already half off. (Only for photo purposes) I don't believe you really need to take the whole metal clip off, just pry open enough to pull out the position sensor.

I think I have cracked it (Not literally broken it) I have half solved the problem.
When I had the position sensor removed I rapidly pushed in the silver rod (See the photos below) in and let it release itself (It's on a spring). I done this loads of times and tried to blow through the front where the rod is located. The gap is tiny & my blowing probably did nothing but I think the constant pushing in & out might have fixed it for the mean while. See, looking at that Slovak website I noticed all the metal shaving from the pc board. I thought that if I couldn't open the casing without breaking it I might as well try to shake away those shaving by vigorous movement. This might only last for a while but at least my ABS light has stayed off, so far. I do understand it is only early days, so I will come back with a definitive answer later next week and so on. So, if you don't want to break your position sensor casing, just give the rod a good 'thrashing' in & out! (Don't try to break it in the process) Well then, I have also fixed my Stop Light Switch... I hope. If anything the sensor is now setup more precisly and I have adjusted it to be more sensitive! P1010001.JPG ![]() Thanks ![]()
