I asked if it had a rev counter as mine does, but it's the tripometer broken on mine, so just wondered if you saved it or not.

I know I can get the cog from the State's, but in my mind it'll probably be less hassle to change the whole cluster. Mine is an 88 f reg, my mate has a G reg glt, when be got in mine he said the cluster was different, so if there are two types I guess mine is the earlier one?

Cool

clusters should be the same on 88-89 as far as I'm aware, though there might be differences between carb and injection versions. the key is the 'k' number on the speedo face.

changing the drive gear is pretty easy tbh if you've got steady hands and a bit of patience, I've done it on mine.

I think he said the rev counter on mine was smaller, but he was viewing it from the passenger seat and I didn't check his for comparison so I may well just be talking bs

Suppose it depends how much you'd want for a cluster or just the spare speedo gauge (presuming they are removeable like on a 340?) its just i've got a bad habit when fixing something I always manage to break something else in the process!

Why not first try to change the gear? Does the gear cost much? That way your mileage reading is not altered by a speedo change.

Admission: I have absolutely no idea how to change the gear ...

Do you have any wheel trims? And if so, are they 14 or 15inch ones?

Cheers

Looking for a couple of the clips that hold on the door bump strips and the clips for the spare wheel cover and offside boot side panel if they are about?

If I remember correctly, the vehicle has sadly gone to be crushed and shredded and re manufactured .... surely if people are looking for items they need the items wanted section??

Argh, curses to me for getting into Volvo's so late. Did you whip the tow-bar off before the shredder?

Smile Interior trim

Hi mate, what colour is the interior on your car? I have a 1986 240 saloon in red with the tan interior and I need a couple of bits - a passenger door pocket, a centre console and the cover that goes over the drivers seatbelt from the floor to half way up the door jamb. Cheers, Dave. Oh, and a gear knob!
