Ian, your comment "I remember people advertising far more common Galaxies for £500 on Ebay, after taking the tyres off," is obviously aimed at me, but you have your facts wrong as the only set I put on ebay was at £350 BIN or BE and I took £300 for them in the end. Tread carefully, remember what happened last time you initiated a forum attack on me?

I don't think you are wildly out on price Yoda, IMHO I would say £400 is top whack for those especially as there are only 4. I still put a value of not less that £300 on a set of galaxies as they are IMHO a nicer wheel.

Obviously you are entitled to ask whatever you like for them... and I wish you the best of luck.
Mate, there is no forum attack on you - I don't know who the seller of the wheels were. It was a while ago now. All I was saying was I remember a set of Galaxies were listed on Ebay with tyres in the picture (although not included in the sale) for £500 BIN. I watched them and I think they got reduced in the end.

I was just making a point that IMHO I don't think Yoda is not asking an unfair price for a much rarer set of wheels, bearing in mind they have the centre caps aswell.

Good luck with the sale - always wanted a set for my old 740 but never saw a set for sale in the 2 years I had it!

Galaxy rims are the most common of the "nice" wheels here, as they were standard fitment on the 940 Sport / Sports Edition. Anything rare will automatically command a premium.

Is now a good time to mention that over the years we've snagged not one, but two sets of Polaris wheels for under £200...? I'm still seething that Ryan didn't buy an odd pair which sold for £70 a while back, though!

cheers

James

Multi-X are damn rare in this country, I can only recall seeing 3 sets for sale ever, but because they're 15" they don't have the same price premium as the bigger wheels.[/QUOTE]

Those aren't Multi-X...just similar. One of my friends has two sets at one point, but they're not at all common.

cheers

What's different about them? I thought the only cross spoke alloys were the 14" 240 wheels, or the 15" Multi-x.

They're not Volvo wheels, for a start. Multi-x are very much like the BMW cross-spokes. Here's a pic of a Multi-x rim...

cheers
