Hi all,
just been doing a recce on this thisafternoon to get an idea of what the back of the reflector unit looks like.

Question to GJB - is the bit I've circled where you cut through and threaded the LED strip in place ?

Closer view here:

I'm taking photos as I go - but had to re-assemble this without going any further as I need the car to be serviceable for tomorrow (and my bl**dy fingers were nearly dropping off with the cold).

In case anyone else is also having a go - the rear lamp unit it easy to remove - there are only two 10mm hex bolts holding it in - here:

..and it looks like this when it's out:

It takes a bit of wiggling as there are two rose joint type locating lugs that need popping out of there sockets to release the unit. You can see them on the left hand edge of the bodywork in this photo.

Keep you posted as we go - don't hold your breath just yet though.
cheers
Ian.

Thumbs up Where to drill

Please see below for where I cut hole try a dremel or equivilant, suggest when fitting LED's that you try and stiffen them by attaching a brazing rod to prevent them bending.

The above information is given in the best of faith and I will not be responsible for any damage done.

Default radiantz led alu strip

http://www.radiantz.com/cart/index1.html?c31.html&1

look at the multipurpose site 5mm 40 led board

I was thinking of ordering these radiantz leds. They come with a high low function so brake light and running light. 40 leds to 12.62 inches on Alu strip which makes it semi flex. Yes a bit more expensive but I think it is going to be worth it.
Has anyone got experience with these?

As anyone got pictures of where the wiring comes from for the leds?

Thanks
