Default A very helpful car salesman

Can I just say that not all car salesman are clueless -not all surgeons are great either.

Marc Tilling from Bells Group Volvo Northampton has stopped me from going insane over the 2014 facelift. He knows his stuff and has kept me posted every step of the way.

He'll be getting a call from me when I can order an R-Design.

[QUOTE=snip>
And my V70### number plate will leave me after 12 years of use; the new car will have a X60### plate that I have bought from DVLA.
<snip[/QUOTE]

Great, we also went with an X60 XXX with my wife's initials it looks great and the garage always comment on it so you are remembered when you go in for service

I hope your happy with the car, we have had our D3 for over a year now and love it.

All a bit silly but it's just vanity really not having a year plate on. Some friends have just bought new 13 reg cars and couldn't care even though I found him a peach of a plate for £250.
XC60### don't seem to exist.

I tried to get XC60 ### but was told it was reserved for export only. I think the DVLA lost a few sales with that decision.

I don't think its vanity ! its just for fun, if you can pick a plate that is easy to remember or means something to you personally, hows that different to choosing the colour or any other personalisation item .

Crickey, went to see dealer today all geared up to chop in my MY10 for a MY14 R Design. started to get to the nitty gritty and was told "No 0% on MY14".wasnt too worried, but this would have been nice. Walked away to "Consider things" hoping the dealer will be chewing figures over too, not sure who will give in first.... watch this space......

Can I suggest you speak to Mr Lawless at Carfile if you don't get anywhere.

Hi - I've been looking at figures to chop in my MY11 for a 2014 model R-Design. I've been talking to DTD and in principal they are offering 50% deposit with the balance over 2 yrs at 0% and a 20% discount (no trade-ins though). Also be aware that the MY2014 R-Design no longer has leather seats as standard - it's now a £500 option.
