Not sure what the Sensus upgrade has to do with the nav software but have a look here on the nav upgrade thread:- http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...150616&page=10

It may be just me, but I feel the system is a wee bit bit faster & slicker the way it moves between menu options.
Is this update for non sat nav vehicles as well?

On my latest XC I have no problems and am reluctant for the garage to fiddle with something that is working.(in case it suddenly stops working!) Not got any sensus issues at present.(or any issues for that matter!) Do you think the update with the extra bits and fancy graphics is worth having, or should I leave it?

Regards

The garage have to get in touch with Volvo, as the appears to be something wrong with the update.
Think that Clan mentioned a problem, earlier?

tem.
I think Clan may have been referring to the problems with the Sat Nav update discs and not the Sensus update....?

Thanks clan. Not sure where that leaves me! The dealership is supposed to be coming out to me first thing to pick up my car to take it in for the upgrade. Does this mean that there won't be any point in doing this if the sensus upgrade is faulty? Does anyone know what causes the update problem in some and not others? I notice simonedrake has had success on12th with the same model year car as mine (my12) but someone on model year 11 had problems....

Love the increased range of more logical functions that can be assigned to the "Fav" buttons with the Senus 3 upgrade.

Just had mine updated and it all looks as it should so far! Gloucester Johnsons seem to know what they are doing regarding this.

Just had mine updated at Squire Furneaux in High Wycombe. When I phoned to book, they didn't know about it but did it free of charge anyway. When I collected car just now they said it shouldn't have been done FOC as they "only do software updates if it's to fix a problem". So there seems to be some discrepancies between dealers!

I was told the same - but it will be done free at the service in September. As mine is fine at the moment I'm willing to wait a few months to get it.
