Just an addition to this post.
See below the pictures of a Rotor Arm removed from my own 940 at a routine service, against the new part. Worn, very thin and pitted contact arc, filthy centre brush contact and generally absolutely shot. And if you look carefully, one side of the arc had actually started to lift from the moulding...a guaranteed engine failure if it had detached, probably smashing the cap in the process. The message is simple. Never assume that the bog standard routine service parts are OK. YES it's a bit of a pain to get the distributor cap off, to check the rotor but this one (like mateys above) could so easily have caused problems. Sorry about the photo quality, there was something greasy on my phone lens.
