High oil pressure
Last week when I parked my XC 70 in the garage it blew the camshaft oil seal into the belt cover down into subframe, what mess. So yesterday I replaced the oil seal and took the car for a long and high speed drive to check if there was a problem with the turbo, no the turbo is fine, however I noticed that when I take my foot of the accelerator pedal a cloud of smoke is emitted from the exhaust. It happened again and again so I drove home park ed the car in garage and the dipstick blew out covering the engine room. So today I need to find out what's causing the high pressure,
:- exhaust system, sticking inlet valve, high oil temp etc.......... |

Just picked up my V70 after a day at my dealer - Cecil and Larter in Bury St Edmunds - having its failed air conditioning compressor replaced. Am so happy - no more sweating on a sunny day, or being unable to clear the condensation on a rainy one... £1100, but worth every penny...

Volvo Approved Accident Repair
If you have had an accident. Make sure you whoever you go to is Manufacturer-Approved. We have learnt one of the first things people do is ring their insurance and your insurance company has deals with non Volvo approved places who could void warranties and repair your car not using genuine parts and paints.
(www.hiltonaccidentrepair.co.uk) We offer our customers complete transparancy using Genuine Parts & Paints and we guarantee our repairs for life. |

I am now insuring both my cars through Volvo official insurance. Competitive price plus a guarantee of always using genuine parts... Hope I never need to...!

New Volvo owner here.
Starting small today. After full detail was done last week, I ordered some parts. Replaced the PVC membrane/spring/cover with a readymade part from RockAuto. Didn't notice much of a difference with the suction after but though, oh well, first new part on. Also, replaced the air filter and had to do some modding on the airbox screw retainers to hold tight together. Winter tires on new (to me) 17" rims will be going on tomorrow. And, just researching how to tackle the washer area leak which was discovered after pouring 2 litre of new fluid in the chamber. sigh. Cheers |

Installed a mycarclub tracker. Give it a bash for a bit for the cost of 2 pints of beer a month.

Did all the belts and tensioners today. Friend let me have access to his 2 poster for 2 hours, so it was very easy going.
