We'll definitely be back, the weather's not a major problem and there's only the two of us. Fortunately we're at the top of the hill, about 100' vertically above the river so flooding would have to be serious to affect us.

This 240SE Est at a nearby-ish DIY store, yesterday.

It was a bit tired looking, laquer gone on front wings & clear tape holding rear light lenses in place.

Saw another today, black, antique dealers' roof rack, very well used H reg., parked by the river in Lostwithiel. Quite often see old Volvos around here while auctions are going on, but this was the first 240.

Default Builder's Mate....

Seen this many times coming towards me on the A6068 between Colne & Cross Hills, but caught it yesterday here yet only had my phone with me:

VolvoCowling.jpg

it's a bit rough round the edges and is being used as a builder's truck ....at least it is still going though!

Yesterday whilst driving (hence no piccie) a 240 saloon towing a 'girt big trailer' . I have a feeling it was the saloon with the beaten up wing I posted a page or two back.
The driver flashed his lights as he approached , of course I returned the acknowledgement

(ps, gonna ask if this thread can be made a 'sticky')

I guess it was this one.

I instantly thought "mine" but wrong number and I wasn't in your area that day.
That one was withdrawn from eBay so good to see that it's back on the road.

245 GLT H reg in Bearwood, Bournemouh parked, then a Torslanda L reg in Kinson, Bournemouth on the move (no wave thou'). Both silver metalic like mine.

Both could do with a clean though, otherwise looked good.

the one that came past me sounded like it either had a big exhaust or it was blowing.

F-reg silver 240 estate driven by a retired gentleman near Merley, Dorset at 3.30 this afternoon.

Don't know if sightings on the big screen count, but I meant to post about the 240 estate in the film "Ted" that was out recently. Sadly it doesn't end well for the 240 after a chase
