Nice example!👍
Don't think there's a right or wrong one on this, just depends on if any buyer wants the car at that price.

Hands up, I hang my head in shame, sticker price on my 940 was £expensive but a nice vehicle, and I had a failing A6 with very concerning (aka expensive) issues that he was willing to trade in at £2k more that WBAC came up with.

End result, deal done, and thankfully after more than a year on I'm a happy chap.

Just depends on everyone's personal circumstances, in reality I knew I was paying over the odds, but needs must.

Cheers
Steve

I paid more than I should but it ticked most boxes, it was local and it had had work on it that the seller was in a better position than me to have done.

Over a year and nearly three thousand miles later it’s still fine .

Only five years, but a mere 5000 miles in the decade prior to retirement with a studious disregard for maintenance: Driven into the ground.

This one is quite nice. It is already qualified as an historic vehicle and is a runner. The MoT ran out 6 months ago, it the seller bothered to get a new one it would make 3 grand, maybe more. The motor car obviously hasn't covered only 60,000 miles, so either the odometer has been tampered with or the instruments changed, I suspect the truth there has been well buried.

I'm not sure any of that matters too much for an old bus. This one would have been really good for Steve if he had that workshop up and running: cheap, could drive it home and needs a fair bit of work to make it okay - but there would be no point wasting money on trying to make it perfect.

I like it.

Alan

Why does that £1,000 car have a £3,675 sticker on it? No MoT, some wide boy just found it in a shed and bought it for £300.
