XC60 Production delays

Sounds like the dealer did not place the order in early April. If that's the case I'm going to go off on one.

All this talk of delays has had me worried. I was placing an MY18.5 XC60 order in late March but my dealer found they couldn’t place the order because all MY18.5 D4s were already sold. My dealer ordered my MY19 XC60 D4 with various addons on 3rd April. I immediately got the Order Accepted email from Volvo UK. I contacted the dealer yesterday and he expects to take delivery of the car on 14th June.

All of the people reporting delays seem to have bought petrol engines ... there could easily be supply volume issues thanks to the Government’s barmy anti-diesel policy.

Likewise - just placed an order today for my 3rd XC60 but this time with a T5 powertrain. Hoping find out the delivery date early next week - will report back when I know.

My MY19 XC60 is due in 3 weeks time. I ordered early March (9th) as soon as MY19 orders opened.

You could well be right - mine is a petrol hybrid on order.

Just been given a delivery date of 11th September - ordered mid April. Dealer said tyres likely to be Pirelli

My MY19 ordered March 31st (D4) was given an ETA of 20th July, so just shy of 16 weeks lead time. As of checking today that date still stands, with a scheduled build date of 6th of July.

When buying I was told the XC40 sales for 2018 so far had blown production capacity through the roof and they were on allocation for the rest of the year. I wonder if that's having ramifications on XC60's.

Ok, so placed above order on 4th May, dealer just confirmed Production Date of 14th Sept with delivery to dealer on 25th Sept with 23rd Aug being the Lock Down date.
So looks like a long 20 odd weeks to read the manuals..........!!!!

Have you had a date after which you can't change the spec. Think mine was 11th July for a delivery date of 11th September.

Thanks for the mention of reading the manuals; it reminded that I should start doing that as my order delivery date is approaching thick and fast and hoping there won’t be any last-minute surprises with the dates.
