It is over 20 years old and not YET a classic.
Wrong colour too - black or metallic red for me. Tempremental seat heater, lazy pop-up light and no tax. No leather either! I would say closer to a grand at most. That's just my opinion, though and I do hope you get more than that. Gary

As Gary says really.
It's an auto, the rear arches look like they're rusting out and it's got silly lights bolted to it. This near immaculate example sold on ebay for £1020 after ending for £1220 before hand. Yes, your car does have an amazingly rare set of wheels which 10 yrs ago were probably worth about £500 (no where near that now due to lack of demand for these models and they're scruffy). It's said but these just aren't worth much at the moment, they're in banger territory!

Sorry mate, but everyone thinks their own car is the best one in the country and worth more than it is to everyone else. As I said before, good luck and I hope you get what you want for it. Let us know how you get on. Gary

OK, that was 2/3 of what the 460 cost me in the first place, but it's worth it. I've never seen another set in the UK, so God only knows how they found their way on to your car - I'd say that's the best thing it has going for it right now. I have a 1991 options catalogue that prices 4 Vegas as £800 without VAT. There's also another variant of the Vega that was dished. Finding a set of those would be a turn-up.......

I must agree with the other posts here: I am not trying to rain on your parade, and yes, it looks like quite a good example, but to be looking at anywhere near £1500 you need one that is absolutely perfect in every way.
Erratic headlights and temperamental information centre alone point to the electronic gremlins that plague these cars, especially with age - yes they can be fixed, but they can be a real PITA to do so, as any enthusiast taking on a 480 knows. Things like the extra lights are a matter of taste but personally I think she'd look better without them. You are quite right that in their day the Vega wheels were rare, but again I think they are a matter of taste - my own view is that there were several better wheels put on the 480 (thinking Vesa and Cetus, for example). White quite suited the 480 (I think) but it's not that popular a colour. I wish you the best of luck with the sale. Personally I think you will be disappointed if your expectations are of sums in excess of £1,000 maximum for her, if that - but please, do go ahead and prove me wrong! David |

480 turbo
i totally agree about the tacky lights. the only reason i have left them on is so whoever buys it doesnt look at the bumpers holes. they were fitted before i owned the vehicle so just left them.
