  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

I said if you don't have an ACTIVE SIM in your car.

I presume you still have the original Vodafone SIM in place? That will be active, although won't allow you access to anything other than the Volvo On Call services.

Would be interested to hear if it's different though, as my understanding was that the Sensus systems only had PSIM, but if yours works without the Vodafone SIM in, that means there's an esim in there somewhere.

If the car was optioned with Volvo On Call the car has a built in stand alone modem with it's own power supply which is used for VOC connected services. However if you fit a P-Sim then the system reverts to using that. So it's not necessary to have a P-Sim to use VOC.

That's interesting, as I understood they didn't have an eSIM solution as well as the PSIM capability.

Makes sense though as the US guys don't get the option of using their own SIM at all, just tied to AT&T.

Which is the same as Mercedes in the UK.....think it's a very bad approach tbh.....you've got to give customers choice on service providers, rather than force them to take a cost inflated service from a network partner.
