Apologies but new to the forum and still trying to find my way around.
Is there a particular way to indicate my interest in meets in NI?
Don't live too far away from Belfast so would love to meet up and perhaps get some ideas how to improve my knowledge.

I will post a few dates for the next meeting at the Lagan Weir in Belfast, Marty is the main contact for organising the meets. I will be in touch shortly.

Easiest way is Facebook page, or watch the meeting section here, if anyone is organising one, its usually here and I'll ask the mods to make it a sticky

Thanks for the welcome. In Bangor also. Saving cash sounds good to me lol. Definitely need too as the car has been in a local garage three times the last week with rear o/s wheel that gets v hot (including alloy).
First they said it was sticking caliper and put new pads in. Still not right so I asked them to check the handbrake shoes. They said these had de-laminated so they put new shoes in. Next there was an almighty bang with metal on metal sound, back to the garage and they said it was some spring or other.
Have read the thread 'handbrake woes' and I suspect I was very close to that.
However the wheel still gets very hot so clearly they aint fixed it. Checked the Volvo Owners Club site and apparently there is a garage up Templepatrick way so I might give them a ring. Obviously do not want to take it back to the one I have been using.

Who did you use ??
There are two locals that deal with Volvos one out of Donaghadee / Millisle. and one near the Purdysburn Hospital. The latter I have dealt with a few times and he's reasonable with charges.
Joe.

NI Volvo Nut I have sent a PM, Silverback 02 I tried to send you one also but it appears I am not allowed to send a PM to the administrator group.
I was wondering if you could send me details of the two garages you refer too.
I think when I have had a look at the wheel I am going to need one lol.
Apologies for taking up space in the meet thread.

Edit: NI Volvo Nut it appears my pm was not sent. Thank you for the offer but I dont think my car would get to Artigarvan without melting the tyre lol. Would love to have taken you up on it.
