They are 5/16 unc and you need to use 10.9's

Normal high tensile 8.8's are not realy the right ones for the job.

And yes amazons are imperial they way it should be.

Excellent stuff. As I suspected, AF all round. Except for the Bosch parts and what previous owners got up to of course...
Thats a handy website Gareth. Duely bookmarked!

Default c-pillar bolts for seatbelts

ok, after a few attempts, i finally got the right bolts.

so folks, for future reference, the bolts for the rear seat belt threaded fixings on the C-pillars are 1.5 inch 3/8" UNC's. Namrick are definately one to bookmark.
i ordered 2 bolts at a time from them (don't ask.. i should have ordered a selection the first time..), and they were delivered within days of ordering.

1st job done!

...now, about that fuel gauge.

After locating the bolt holes I'm about to order rear seatbelts from Brookhouse and have been studying the posts on this topic.

For clarity, are all bolts 1.5 inch 3/8" UNC's, as in Redcars last post, or is it only the C pillars which take these. If so - what size are the other bolts?

When I get round to fitting them - I'll try to post some photos of the factory bolt hole locations.

Cheers
Dave

There has been some good answers to this post, but no one else seems to be commenting on the fact that there isn't a thread for the lower mount on the wheel arch or surrounding area, Considering this post started in 2008!!

I haven't owned an amazon for over ten years now, so my knowledge is a bit sketchy. The later amazon from around 1968 may have had this mounting point fitted, but the early amazon didn't have it, so this area needs a nut welding to a reinforcing plate that is also welded to the wheel arch or similar area. The other two mounting points for the upper mount and seat belt buckle was fitted from the factory.
