The Googlebot cross-site web links algorithm is going to find this page and go "wtf?". It will break the internet.

Hey I just remembered, last Thursday, no gear on, I'm just perambulating along the beach
I mean no dive gear, just the budgies and hark in the distance, some dolphins, wow they
usually cruise up and down every week a few hundred yards out and today
2 dolphins 2 freshish calves.
So I think it's pretty calm, few hundred yards, still a bit cold, how will my yonnies be after
don't look back, and off I go and go and go, theres a jellyfish so I swim around it, then my
eyes are open underwater so I can see to avoid them, but we have tentacled mini manowar as well
so no more eyes open, I'm getting closer and closer, breast stroke now spurting water out of my mouth into the air to pretend to assimilate, closer closer
and FAIRDINKUM I'M LESS THAN 20FT AWAY AND THEY SAY, THAT DICKHEAD HUMAN PERSON HAS MADE IT, LET'S **** OFF
and they did but not very far but you see with their couple of flicks of the tail to my
equivalent pathetic 243 leg kicks, my adventure was over

but then I looked back, and sometimes over the crests of the waves I could see land.

So here we go again swim swim swim and I'm getting comfortable then wham
like aliens in the gloom I'm surrounded by jellyfish, nothing spectacular just about
seven of them the size of an adult head, trying to kill me, the swell is pushing them there and the swell is pushing me there too, bright moment, so I pushed one out of the way tentatively with my left forefinger and slid sideways between them to safety, yeah
still miles out from land, well not miles but a couple of hundered yards left now was plenty far enough holding the left forefinger as far away from everything as possible.
Now was definately not the time to find myself with an itchy arse
Got back to land, rubbed my finger with sand and trees and water and stuff the gelatinous toxic jelly doesn't penetrate something like working mans finger tips
had saved my own life and everthing was beatiful

and then I drove home in my Volvo, just to make the post relevant to something

but I had touched my forehead with the gelatinous cleaned finger or so I thought
and the poisonous crap gave me a blooming headache for the entire drive home
in the volvo

No time for grammar, can't type, now I really do have to go
Cheers.

So why didn't I just swim underneath the damn things

Typical man act first think later!

Anyway to get back to the subject of cars

I don't know if it's intentional or just force of habit but I have had quite a few people question my ability when it comes to cars
And no I had to do quite a bit more than pump up the tyres...
The car was stolen by a mechanic who was supposed to be prepping her for a repaint. He slashed all the tyres, Hack sawed the lady of (presumable he sold it) Slashed all the seats, door cards and dash, broke the controls off (indicator and column change) Burt out the clutches in the gearbox and dumped her in a field for six months. As a result of being left in that condition she needed a new steering wrack, all the brakes were seized and fuel pump had packed up. When we finally found her the owner of the field was trying to sell her on Ebay! And... He wanted £200 because he moved it and wanted us to pay £600 for storage!!
Still looking for the mechanic, and when I find him

Could not afford to pay someone to restore her so like a typical woman I did a lot of reading and fixed it myself!
Still looking to get the re-spray done because I don't have the equipment to do it myself, but trust me I would do it myself if I could, I'm never going to trust her to another mechanic again!
Just to add an ending to the story... We have taken her to four classic car events this year and even though she has one or two blisters on the scuttle she still made a big impression and was admired by all.

The moral?

Read and Read and Read, Join an enthusiast's group ask questions and learn.
Then you can do it yourself as I did at the young age of 63.

Can I have a little more respect now please?

BTW I got a man to pump the tyres up.

Yeh I have a few but don't like to post them widely as you can imagine (the mechanic is still out there some place)

But I can put a couple of pic's of the restoration if people really want them, but this is a Volvo sight and I don't want to highjack it with shadow II pictures.

But hey if you want to see them let's see how many people are interested?

BTW. still looking for someone who can make me a tool to remove the brake lift pump on the rolls so I can refurbish or replace it, also looking for 1/4" brake pipe? (you never know)

Come on, hurry up, just have the volvo parked next to her when you're taking the pics.
or just come up with some rubbish like I do

"as I was walking towards the Volvo to change the engine, "She" the Rolla said."
or
"the roller asked me to take some photos and post them on the Volvo forum
because she was lonely."

because no one wants a girl to be lonely

Got a Volvo Question now (that makes a change for this thread)

My s40 is a 1.6 non turbo is 2003/4 would that be an interference or non interference engine?
I ask because during the service it looked as though the valves were quite a distance from the pistons?

Doing my own thing again! BTW bought the car for £80 with the VVT pulley and whistling symptoms, so not a bad deal so far.
Still got timing belt kit to change but a think all in all the car will have cost me about £340.

Sorry Happy diver but I have a thing about not having pictures of my every day car goes back to my first two cars, took a couple of pictures and then some disaster happened. But like I said you are welcome to some more picture of the Rolls if that's not going to get me into trouble with moderators?
