Its always funny how an insurance company can do cheaper "new customer" quote on line, than your renewal for an exsisting customer. How do they work it all out anyway???

the math goes something like this

think of a number, double it, add 2 0's on the end, double it again for good measure, then take off the number of friends you have that know your an insurance bod. (usually less than 4) ,, offer to customer,
IF theres a sharp intake of breath, knock £10 off,
if the intake isnt too loud Then tell them theres all the "add ons" to go ontop....

renewing customer, find last years number and add a random 3 figure number to it, (same applys for intake of breath re discount/extras)

you often see me moaning about my insurance lol

you should know it off by heart now

23 years young, 4 years NCB, now clean licence, £900pa currently on a 1.8 V40 [122bhp]

next month just tipping on the £1500 mark as the average price for insurance after getting quotes.

makes me wonder why i bother with insurance in the first place...

For my S80 T6 we pay just over £500 with More Than for fully comp. Wife has 4 years ncb and six points I have 3 points and I'm just the named driver so have no ncb. We also use company cars from my wifes company of which she is the fleet manager (meaning I get to drive lots of good cars!)

30, 3 years NCB.

S40 T5 with lots of mods (all declared) and more power

SP30 two years ago.

G20 city postcode in Glasgow which is OK where I live but encompasses some fairly dodgy areas - and apparently really hikes the cost.

self-employed (doesn't help either, I should have been an accountant!)

£900 with Adrian Flux
