The pedal is not too difficult to get out , the lock nuts have a long thread so a lot of winding stiff nuts !
The Volvo rapid rust loosener spray is brilliant well worth the money and much better than WD 40 , it is slightly acidic and really does clean connectors and dissolve rust on nuts and bolts too, it smells like Lager :-) the main problem is the terminal pins loose their gripping properties , the new terminals have an extra leaf spring to keep the grip pressure higher .

Oh boy that would be handy if that already been done then. Is that really the only access for that plug where it is in situ right up top of the pedal? I dunno how anyone can work up there up side down and contorted. Maybe with a ramp its better? OK so yeah nice one we stick with white wire then and then go over everything with that 60% proof rapid rust stuff. Thanks Clan will keep y'all posted if we finally have a solution. Cheers
