Hi

Quote:
No Volvo main dealer. I had to some other work done on it so I asked them to take a look at it while everything was apart. He told me it needed a new condenser before they even looked at the rest of the AC. The quote for this from Volvo was £704, £243 of that is labour. Even half that is too much! Windows
If the gas is staying in the system it is unlikely to be the condenser .
If all the gas has gone it could be the condenser.

Doesn't seem very logical fault finding by Volvo.

The condenser can be a problem but this always results in a loss of gas, so as Halfords put in the leak dye it should be visible under UV on the condenser if Volvo diagnosis is correct.

Paraphrasing that, take it to an A/C specialist!
