^^^ good question, he took the pics on his phone whilst he was underneath and showed me. Certainly looked like holes when he showed me. But yeh like you hoping the tester was right.

How’s the time to get the underside sorted out then, once the Gite business is back in full swing, which I am sure it will be in the near future

Great news, but I'd get a second opinion on the rust just to satisfy myself that the car is safe. It may be that the tester simply missed the corrosion? Or was a Volvo fan

Do you have a friendly garage or tyre/exhaust fitter who could put it up on a lift and let you walk under it to see for yourself?
As for 'they never rust' I'm afraid mine is starting to go in some areas, it may be a Volvo made with thicker superior steel but the salt and wet will win in the end.
