I had a brake light bulb go out on Friday, so i called into halfords on the way home. Selected the correct bulb and made my way to the till, at which a young lass no more than 18 was waiting, and chatting to one of the other members of staff. She duly processed my purchase, gave my card back and then proceded to serve the guy behind me, still leaving my item on the counter where she left it after scanning !

There was no interaction, no thank you, and I didn't get the opportunity to refuse a plastic bag if I was offered ! - At least at maccy dee's you generally get a "have a nice day"

Hi,

I needed a bit more lacquer for my wheel job - at least I wanted some more JIC...
Rather have it than not, you know...

Went to my local motor shop - all out of lacquer.. Bugger.

Went to halfords... Shock.
400ml can £5.49
500ml can £6.49
Pardon? Who you kidding??

My local shop sells them for £2.99 per 400ml can....

She's obviously not done the "thankyou" part of her induction course yet.

Saying 'Thankyou' and 'Your Welcome' well any basic courtesy requires a comprehensive training course these days, even if your behind a counter or just walking down the street.

This course must be heavily booked up at the moment as it seems many many people have yet to attend it.

Not that much to reveal...

3 lads running round, toy blocking the door from opening properly, Mum opens door and walks through, solid wooden door bounces back off toy at high speed into the side of Mum's head.

I've been walking round like I'm drunk since Friday night. Maybe I ought to see a doctor tomorrow!

Looking forward to halfordssucks.com and halfordssucks.co.uk when you get back Des. Have a good trip, hope the weather holds out for ya! When you going?

Popped round to the store - after much searching found an 'assistant' and asked him to open the locked cabinet where the sockets are kept. "Well, alright then, but as long as your quick - I'm very busy" came the reply - "hang on a minutes, Im a customer - do you usually speak to customers like that?" I said. "Wot?" he said and gaped at me like a guppy.
